Compare
TruePrivacy vs ConvergeDPDP
A side-by-side method for Data Fiduciaries preparing for 13 May 2027. We describe TruePrivacy; for ConvergeDPDP we give questions, not claims.
Short answer
Core DPDP obligations begin on 13 May 2027, when Rules 3 and 5 to 16 of the DPDP Rules, 2025 commence (Rule 1). Compare tools on those duties: notice, consent, rights, grievances, breach, children's data and retention. We have not verified ConvergeDPDP's products, so check its current product pages, ask the questions below and run the same demo with both vendors.
Feature themes a DPDP programme needs
- Find: an inventory of where personal data sits, so notices, erasure and breach scoping are accurate.
- Tell and ask: notices under s.5 and Rule 3, and consent that is free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous with a clear affirmative action (s.6).
- Respond: rights requests and grievances under Rule 14, and breach intimation under Rule 7.
- Protect: children's data (s.9, Rule 10), retention and erasure (s.8(7), Rule 8) and processor contracts (s.8(2)).
- Prove: logs kept for at least one year (Rule 6, Rule 8(3)) and proof of notice and consent (s.6(10)).
