Compare DPDP software for India
Each page sets the duties of the DPDP Act and Rules against what TruePrivacy does, then lists the questions to ask the other vendor. TruePrivacy wrote these pages.
Short answer
These comparisons start from what the DPDP Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 (G.S.R. 846(E)) ask of a Data Fiduciary: notice (s.5, Rule 3), consent (s.6), breach intimation (Rule 7), and rights and grievances (Rule 14). Each page shows what TruePrivacy does for each duty and lists questions for the other vendor. We do not state other vendors' features, pricing or customers, because we have not verified them.

Buyer's guideHow to choose DPDP software in India
How to choose DPDP software in India for 2026 and 2027: criteria mapped to the Act and Rules, pitfalls and a shortlist method. Written by TruePrivacy.
How we compare
We wrote these pages to help you compare, not to rank anyone. Four rules apply to every page.
- Criteria come from the law. Each row maps to a section of the Act or a rule, such as s.6 consent or Rule 7 breach intimation.
- The TruePrivacy column covers only TruePrivacy. It describes what the product does, with links to the platform pages.
- The other vendor's column holds questions, not claims. We have not verified other vendors' products, so we ask instead of describing them.
- No scores, rankings or awards. Use our buyer's guide to build your own shortlist.
A Consent Manager and a CMP are different things
A Consent Manager is registered with the Data Protection Board (s.6(9), Rule 4). Registration starts on 13 November 2026, and the application form is not published yet. A consent management platform (CMP) is software. Our Consent Manager vs CMP guide explains the difference.
Why do these pages not list other vendors' features?
We have not verified other vendors' products, and we do not publish what we cannot check. Each page gives you questions to ask the vendor directly, so the answers come from the source.
Which DPDP software is the best?
We do not rank vendors, and TruePrivacy wrote these pages. Start from the duties that apply to you and use the shortlist method in our buyer's guide.
Is a consent management platform the same as a DPDP Consent Manager?
No. A Consent Manager is registered with the Board under s.6(9) and Rule 4; a CMP is software. Registration under Rule 4 starts on 13 November 2026.
